Coronation Street releases killer trailer ahead of flash-forward murder reveal – who will die?

Coronation Street is gearing up for a big week of drama. A recently released trailer hints at trouble, showing five characters walking towards George Shuttleworth’s funeral home – and suggesting they may be in danger.

Okay, folks, the tension is killing me! We’re just days away from learning who doesn’t make it out of Carla and Lisa’s wedding. Seriously, the fallout from that day is going to be huge, and someone is definitely going to pay the ultimate price. I’m on the edge of my seat!

Okay, so if you’ve been keeping up with the show, you’ll remember they did this really interesting thing back in February. One episode jumped ahead to April, and that’s when we first saw Betsy Swain – played by Sydney Martin – stumble upon a body. It was a bold move with the timeline, and definitely left us with a lot of questions!

She informed Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) that she knew the person who had died – one of her neighbors had passed away.

Megan Walsh, Maggie Driscoll, Theo Silverton, Jodie Ramsey, and Carl Webster have all been identified as characters in danger, leaving viewers wondering who will be the one to die.

Honestly, the biggest question hanging over Weatherfield isn’t if someone’s going to get hurt, but who will be responsible. And let’s not pretend there aren’t plenty of residents who’d secretly – or not so secretly – celebrate their demise.

The latest promotional video, directed by longtime Coronation Street director Suri Krishnamma, shows the five main characters walking slowly down the iconic street, all dressed for a funeral.

The group rounded the corner onto Victoria Street and spotted George. He was outside the funeral home, putting a flower arrangement shaped like a question mark into the hearse. He briefly looked at them, then went back to work.

Swarla’s wedding is next week, but the mystery of who Betsy found dead won’t be revealed for another seven days. Leading up to the reveal, there will be a week of special episodes, each focusing on a different character and what happened on the wedding day.

Don’t miss a week of intense drama on Coronation Street, starting Monday, April 27th, on ITV and ITVX. New episodes will air weeknights at 8:30pm, and you can also watch from 7am on ITVX.
