The 87-year-old country singer was taken to a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee on March 29th after falling and breaking his neck.

Following medical advice, the 87-year-old Grammy winner is wearing a neck brace for about four weeks while he recovers at home, according to an Instagram post from April 7th.

People expressed their concern and relief in the comments. One user wrote, “So sorry to hear about this! Wishing Ray a quick recovery!” Another commented, “It’s great to hear he’s getting better!”

This isn’t the first health challenge for the singer of “The Streak.” Ray, who has daughters Suzi and Timi with his late wife Penny Jackson Ragsdale, had to cancel several shows last summer after a heart attack required immediate medical attention.

Country music legend Ray Stevens is recovering after having a minor heart attack. According to a statement posted on his Instagram last July, Stevens experienced chest pain and was hospitalized in Nashville. Doctors determined he’d had a mild heart attack after performing a heart catheterization.

The statement said Ray’s first surgery went well, but his shows at the CabaRay Showroom are cancelled until July 2025 while he recovers.

A day after the procedure, he made it clear he was on the mend.

Ray has left the ICU and is starting to walk around with help from a nurse as part of his recovery. He’s thankful for all the cards and well wishes, and remains optimistic, saying “Everything is Still Beautiful!!!!”

Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to travel to her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, struggling to speak coherently.

Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. Drawing on her background in holistic medicine and herbalism, Shailene decided to combine traditional medical care with alternative healing approaches. This search for well-being lasted for ten years.

She explained that the physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body.
