Pearl Abyss has been building excitement for their fantasy game, *Crimson Desert*, and recently showed off a battle robot that the character Kliff can control. But that was just a preview – a new gameplay demo revealed by IGN First shows a fight against a massive boss called Golden Star, which appears to be a colossal mechanical dragon.
To stop a massive flying fortress, Kliff heads to an old, deserted keep where a powerful enemy called Golden Star is located. The battle is intense, with Golden Star attacking using fire tornadoes and missiles, but players can use special EMP bullets to hurt it. However, that’s just the beginning – Golden Star then flies away, with Kliff desperately holding on!
To make things even crazier, his dragon is now chasing them, attacking from a distance. What happens next is uncertain, but this encounter feels more like a grand spectacle than the previous boss battles.
Crimson Desert will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC starting March 19, 2026. You can watch some gameplay footage here.
