Dragons are powerful mounts available in the mid to late stages of Crimson Desert and significantly impact how the game is played. They’re challenging to obtain, but offer both flight and devastating attack power once you acquire them.
This guide for Crimson Desert is all about getting a hold of the dragon mount in the game.
How To Get Blackstar The Abyssal Dragon
You’ll find the most powerful dragon as a key part of the story, but it takes a while to get to it. You first meet it around the 50-hour mark in Chapter 9, ‘The Sage of the Desert,’ but you won’t be able to actually use it until Chapter 11, ‘Truth and Reality’.
Finish the ‘Foreboding Shadow’ questline and defeat the final boss to unlock Blackstar as a rideable mount forever.
Blackstar Abilities And Limitations
Dragons excel at quickly traveling across all of Pywel. They can also powerfully attack with dragonfire and fireballs, but doing so drains their energy quickly.
The dragon can also evade incoming attacks by barrel rolling and diving sharply.
Despite its strength, this ability can only be used for about 15 minutes, followed by a 50-minute wait before it’s available again. These time limits are based on real-world time, not the time within the game.
Currently, there’s no way to shorten the wait time within the game itself, and it probably won’t be possible in the future to keep the game fair.
That is everything there is to know about acquiring and summoning the dragon in Crimson Desert.
