Croc Platinum Edition Adds Trophies and Time Trials on PS5, PS4, But No One Knows If It’s an Update or Re-Release

Argonaut Games, the creators of Croc, recently revealed a new version of the classic game, ‘Croc: Legend of the Gobbos – Platinum Edition,’ for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. However, the announcement has caused some confusion.

The remastered version of the classic PlayStation 1 game, Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, came out earlier this year. While fans who remember the original loved it, some were disappointed that it didn’t have a Platinum Trophy for trophy collectors.

Following recent feedback, the newly released Platinum Edition includes a Platinum Trophy and 15 more trophies to earn. It also adds time trials and expands the ‘Crocipedia’ feature, offering behind-the-scenes details about the game’s creation.

I’m really excited about the rumors, but honestly, we still don’t know if this is a completely new release or just a big update to the game we already have. It’s a bit frustrating not having official confirmation!

Releasing another version so soon doesn’t make much sense, considering the updated version came out just half a year ago. It would be even stranger if Argonaut Games didn’t offer current players a free way to get the new version.

You might think this is an announcement of something new, but the trailer, its description, and the studio’s social media haven’t said anything about it.
