If you enjoy anime and are browsing Crunchyroll, you might not realize you’re missing a huge event: a crossover featuring many popular ‘Isekai’ shows that are currently releasing new episodes. Isekai is a very popular anime genre, with lots of new series appearing every season, and many becoming major hits. Because of their success, many of these shows have continued for multiple seasons, and a lot of them are produced by Kadokawa.
Kadokawa, the publisher behind many popular Isekai anime, has created a fun crossover series called Isekai Quartet. The show brings characters from different Isekai worlds together, and it’s currently in its third season with even more series joining the mix. If you enjoy Isekai anime, especially those that haven’t had new episodes in a while, you’ll definitely want to check it out!
Isekai Quartet Is An Awesome Isekai Anime Crossover

Even if the cute, miniature character designs weren’t your first choice, Isekai Quartet brilliantly combines four popular anime series. The show brings together characters from Overlord, Re:Zero, Konosuba, and Saga of Tanya the Evil, placing them all in a school setting where they try to make sense of their new situation. It’s fun to see these familiar characters – voiced by the original actors – interact and stay true to their personalities, all while experiencing everyday school life.
It’s surprising how well this new format works – it seamlessly blends elements from several different series. It was particularly enjoyable when the original shows were between seasons, though fans of Saga of Tanya the Evil might be disappointed as there haven’t been any new installments. The latest season is even better, now including characters from The Rising of the Shield Hero and The Eminence in Shadow.
What’s Next for This Isekai Crossover?

With two seasons, a movie, and a recently launched third season, Isekai Quartet has become a popular series. You can watch everything on Crunchyroll! While the individual shows featured in the crossover have many seasons and movies of their own, Isekai Quartet offers a fun, lighter take, acting as a great introduction to each franchise. It’s not as focused on action as the original series, but it’s a delightful mix of them all.
Longtime fans will appreciate the clever jokes and standout moments that become even better once you’re familiar with the characters. With the franchise growing and more content on the way, it’s best to experience this crossover event soon! What are your thoughts?
