One of the most popular action anime of the year on Crunchyroll is about to finish, and fans are sad to see it go! Action anime consistently receive a lot of praise, and this year was no different. While several new series, including the final season of My Hero Academia, debuted, Gachiakuta, which premiered this summer, quickly became Crunchyroll’s biggest hit in years. It proved incredibly popular, topping the charts for Summer 2025 and remaining at the top through the fall, only recently being overtaken by My Hero Academia.
The anime Gachiakuta has really impressed viewers with its high quality and willingness to break from typical anime storylines, offering a fresh take on the shonen genre. Now, the exciting first season is coming to a close. The official Gachiakuta X account recently shared a new illustration announcing the final three episodes, with the season finale scheduled to air on December 21st, 2025.
Gachiakuta Season 1 Will End in Late December
New key visual revealed! With only 3 episodes left in the second season, a new visual featuring Rudou and the raiders has been released. The story is heading towards its climax, promising an intense battle between the Cleaners and the Raiders. Don’t miss episode 22! #GachiAkuta

A recent post on the official X account for Gachiakuta indicates that only three episodes of the series are left. Assuming the show continues to release new episodes every Sunday without interruption, the first season will conclude on December 21st, 2025, finishing Rudo’s story in the underworld. With the latest episode reaching a peak in the current storyline, it’s clear the series is nearing its end. The fact that an illustration was released to promote the upcoming episode suggests this arc might even conclude next week.
It looks like the anime is moving in this direction: if the current story arc finishes next week, the last two episodes will probably wrap up Rudo’s initial adventure and set up what’s coming next. With the manga having almost 150 chapters, another season is highly likely. However, since this season already adapted 75 chapters, and the remaining episodes will cover even more material, it might take a while for a new season to be released. Despite that, the first season of the series has been very successful on Crunchyroll, so we could hear about a second season right after this one ends.
