In Summer 2025, the eagerly awaited second season of the acclaimed anime series “Dandadan” was launched as part of the line-up. Originating from Yukinobu Tatsu’s renowned Shonen Jump+ manga, its anime adaptation by Science SARU premiered in Fall 2024 and captivated audiences with its stunning visuals, quirky humor, and chilling horror elements. Six months following the conclusion of Season 1, the new season unfolded the enigma surrounding the Cursed House. The first season concluded on a suspenseful note as Jiji and Okarun uncovered a hidden room behind a wall in the house, filled with talismans. However, before they could delve deeper into this mystery, members of the Kito family paid them an unexpected visit.
In contrast to their infamous standing, they wield some degree of power within the town, which is why they seem to escape trouble effortlessly and avoid being arrested. Moreover, they are the proprietors of the Haunted Mansion, the place where Jiji’s parents reside. So far, Dandadan has presented multiple adversaries, but the main antagonist appears later in the narrative. At this point in the story, we are only beginning to explore the peculiar creatures inhabiting the world of Dandadan. Though the principal villain will be unveiled to anime enthusiasts at a later stage, Season 2 subtly foreshadows his name, but it’s too obscure to discern.

Dandadan Season 2 Reveals the Final Villain’s Name
To prevent the Kito family, who are infamous for their brutish behavior in town, from becoming even more irritated, Jiji conceals the fact that Okarun came to his home to expel an evil spirit. Instead, he misleads by claiming Okarun is his closest friend, a statement that nobody finds convincing. Historically, Jiji has invited spiritual mediums to assist with exorcisms, but none could handle the malevolent entity. Moreover, it’s common knowledge that the Kito family would discover such activities and express their displeasure. To test Okarun, one of the family members inquires about Jiji’s favorite soccer team. Coincidentally, Jiji had used a big poster of the soccer club, Zaint Germain, to camouflage a hole in his wall, allowing Okarun to provide the correct response.
Fans of anime might not realize this, but the soccer team’s name bears a striking resemblance to the series’ main antagonist, Count Saint Germain. Furthermore, the poster’s color scheme aligns with that of Germain’s character design, suggesting it’s more than just a coincidence. Tatsu seems to have intentionally used the name and piqued our interest without any actual connection between the soccer team and the main villain. It seems he had already planned out the final villain when he wrote this part of the story. Saint Germain makes his appearance in Chapter 120 of the manga, initially appearing as an ally but later revealing himself to be cunning and powerful, far more than Momo and her friends could ever have imagined.
