Daniel Craig and the stars of the new Knives Out film are on this week’s Radio Times

Okay, so this week’s issue? We really wanted to call it ‘The Cool Edition,’ honestly. And it lives up to the name! We kick things off with Daniel Craig – you know, the former James Bond, but still totally a cool, mysterious type. I mean, the guy just radiates coolness, especially when he’s casually leaning on an Aston Martin while loosening his tie. Seriously, he might be the coolest person ever.

Daniel Craig is returning for the third Knives Out movie, and he’s joined by Glenn Close and Josh O’Connor. It seems even the most charismatic stars like to work with equally talented colleagues.

And then there’s Jeff Goldblum – he’s just effortlessly cool, like he could wear sunglasses inside and it would totally work. He talks about the movie Wicked, jazz music, Stephen Fry, and what it’s like to be him, and honestly, just listening to him feels like a lesson in how to be cool.

Plus, we chat with the creators of Prehistoric Planet, who’ve brought the Ice Age back to life with stunning detail. It’s truly amazing – both scientifically accurate and visually breathtaking!

But here’s where the celebratory atmosphere feels a little forced. The conversation shifts to Russell T Davies, Russell Tovey, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw discussing Davies’ upcoming Doctor Who spin-off, titled The War Between the Land and the Sea.

This story takes inspiration from a scary Doctor Who episode, ‘The Sea Devils,’ from the 1970s – one that really frightened me as a child. As for whether it’s good? It has a retro feel, and retro can be enjoyable!

We aimed for a ‘cool’ edition, and we truly hoped we achieved it. But ultimately, what someone considers cool is a matter of personal opinion. Is it Daniel Craig? Jeff Goldblum? Maybe even mammoths? Or a fond memory of Jon Pertwee facing off against a silly rubber monster? It’s not my place to say.

Anyway, enjoy the issue. It’s cool. Probably.
