‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Trailer Reveals Jessica Jones’ MCU Return

The initial trailer for Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is now available, bringing back familiar faces like Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson. The first season of the revived series left Matt and New York City in a difficult situation, as Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) strengthened his control and drove Daredevil into hiding. Given the intense circumstances, it’s no surprise that another hero from the Netflix universe will be joining the new episodes.

The latest trailer, along with photos from the set last year, confirms that Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. Though her screen time in the trailer is short, it’s enough to show fans that Jessica and Matt Murdock will team up—a mini Defenders reunion—to fight Kingpin. Bringing Jessica Jones into the story makes sense because her skills as an investigator could be key to uncovering Fisk’s corruption and his plans to control the city.

It’s great to see Marvel Television reconnecting with actors like Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Krysten Ritter from the original Netflix Daredevil series, which really set the standard for live-action adaptations. The trailer showed Jessica Jones, played by Ritter, seamlessly returning to her role as the super-powered private investigator. This suggests Marvel Studios might be willing to bring back other popular characters from the old Netflix shows, like Luke Cage or Iron Fist, which would be fantastic.

Jessica Jones’ Return in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Could Mean an Exciting MCU Future

Disney+

With news of a third season for Daredevil: Born Again and an upcoming Marvel Studios Special Presentation starring the Punisher, it’s clear Marvel Studios is looking to build on the strong performances and casting choices from its earlier, non-Disney+ shows. How fans react to Krysten Ritter reprising her role in Born Again Season 2 might also hint at whether she’ll have a larger future within the Disney+ Marvel Cinematic Universe – potentially through her own series or another special presentation like the one planned for Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.

It’s going to be fun to watch Daredevil and Jessica Jones work together again, especially seeing how her detective work combines with her super strength. With the fate of Hell’s Kitchen – and even New York City – on the line, this season feels really important, and the results could influence how other Marvel Netflix characters are brought back into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. For now, it’s fantastic to have Jessica Jones back, adding depth and realism to the more street-level side of the MCU.
