The Defenders rumored to take Daredevil’s place in Born Again Season 3
A reliable source, @MyTimeToShineHello, has shared some exciting news about Daredevil: Born Again Season 3. It seems the Defenders—a team of superheroes—will be back together to defend New York City, and the reason for their reunion is Matt Murdock’s disappearance.
Recent on-set pictures from New York City show that Mike Colter and Finn Jones will be back as Luke Cage and Iron Fist, respectively. Krysten Ritter was also spotted filming, returning as Jessica Jones. These three heroes last teamed up in the Netflix series The Defenders back in 2017.
MyTimeToShineHello shared that the third season of Daredevil: Born Again will begin with the other Defenders protecting the city while Daredevil (Matt Murdock) is in prison. This likely explains why Daredevil won’t be appearing in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie. Instead, The Punisher seems to be taking on the role of protector for the streets of Hell’s Kitchen.
The Hand still poses a significant danger that the Defenders might have to confront as a team. Recent previews for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie suggest they’ll look more like their comic book counterparts. This film is set after the events of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, creating a stronger link between those two stories.
