Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin, is happy, and that’s something to be grateful for. His anger can be incredibly dangerous, potentially leading to serious harm. As production on Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again nears completion, the team seems to have avoided his wrath – and kept themselves safe. They’ve managed to impress him, which is a good sign for everyone involved.
As a huge fan, I was so excited to hear that Vincent D’Onofrio is back as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin! He first played the part in the original Daredevil series on Netflix back in 2015, and now he’s reprising the role for Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+. And the best news? Production on the second season just wrapped, and D’Onofrio himself says we’re in for something amazing when it drops in Spring 2026! I can’t wait!
It’s hard to dismiss D’Onofrio’s comments as just promotion for his show. While he’s naturally biased, those familiar with the series know why Marvel brought it back: it’s truly exceptional television.
With Wilson Fisk, now the mayor of New York City, facing off against both Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), the new Daredevil: Born Again series is expected to be a major success.
Kingpin, Daredevil About to Go Through More Hell
However, Wilson and Vanessa Fisk aren’t the only targets. While The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) won’t be pursuing them this season, Dex, also known as Bullseye, is relentlessly seeking revenge. He’s furious that the Fisks manipulated him into a scheme that resulted in Foggy’s injury, and he’s especially enraged that Daredevil (Murdock) was shot instead of Wilson Fisk at the gala.
And there’s more! Marvel is also bringing one of Kingpin’s biggest rivals to the screen for the first time in the MCU, and this character is poised to cause some serious trouble.
The upcoming season of Daredevil: Born Again promises a captivating and intricate story that will undoubtedly draw viewers in. It seems D’Onofrio isn’t exaggerating when he speaks highly of it – this already-excellent Marvel series is shaping up to be even better, and the events unfolding in New York are sure to be thrilling.
