Inspired by the popular Dark Souls video game, this story follows the Knights of Mourning, a desperate order clinging to a final hope for survival. They seek a hero to restore balance to their world and turn to the Mother of Lilies, a legendary, mummified saint said to possess the power to do so. The knights believe awakening her lost soul will bring forth a champion to lead them to peace, but growing madness threatens to distort their quest, and their goal may not be what they expect. This new story comes from the team behind the critically acclaimed, 2025 SCRIBE Award-nominated series, Dark Souls: The Willow King.

The preview shows Lucadeus, Stenn, and Grathin – a group of knights from the Mother of Mourning – on a quest to find the lost soul of the Mother of Lillies. They believe reuniting her soul with her body will restore the land’s former glory by bringing back its fire.

As the knights arrive at the Mausoleum of Gaith, they encounter Hollows – creatures well-known from the Dark Souls series. These enemies represent the gradual decay players experience with each death in the game, eventually turning them into zombie-like figures. Here, the knights are directly battling these undead creatures.

They bravely confront the dangers, including intense and realistic battles. However, they soon encounter old allies who are also succumbing to the mysterious “Hollowing” – a process that strips away their humanity. While not yet zombies, this is the path their friends are on, and they’re steadily losing themselves.
