Dead by Daylight Is Finally Getting a Crossover With The Walking Dead

It seems that after many years of fans asking for it, “Dead by Daylight” is at last preparing for a much-anticipated partnership. The game’s official X/Twitter account has unveiled a new teaser image hinting at an upcoming collaboration with AMC’s “The Walking Dead”. For now, Behaviour Interactive isn’t disclosing any specifics, and the initial artwork merely depicts the recognizable barricaded doors that Rick Grimes first encountered in the hospital during the series premiere. Painted above the doors (and the chains straining to keep them shut) are the words “don’t open, dead inside.” Yet, the doors aren’t really keeping the danger at bay, as the hands of numerous Walkers can be glimpsed forcing their way through.

Multiple potential characters from “The Walking Dead” TV series could potentially join “Dead by Daylight” as Survivors, such as Daryl Dixon and Michonne. Among these possibilities, it seems that Rick Grimes is the most likely candidate for inclusion in the game. This assumption arises because there’s an active Twitter account called “Rick Grimes for DbD,” which has been advocating for Rick’s addition to “Dead by Daylight” for quite some time. In fact, earlier this year, they managed to secure a recording from Chandler Riggs, who played Carl Grimes on the show, using Cameo to support the campaign for Rick’s inclusion in the game.

There’s no clear evidence that Chandler Riggs’ Cameo video directly influenced Behaviour Interactive to include “The Walking Dead” content in “Dead by Daylight,” but the developers certainly took notice of it. In the video, Riggs not only asked for his character Rick to be added to the game, but also expressed his love for “Dead by Daylight.” Whether we’ll see Carl in the game is yet to be determined, but it would be exciting to have father-son duo Rick and Carl appear amidst the mist.

Without a doubt, today’s teaser response has been exceptionally favorable. The community of Dead by Daylight appears eager for more details, and fans are already expressing their desires. Some are simply expressing excitement that this is happening at last. This clearly demonstrates how much Dead by Daylight has expanded. It’s also fantastic news for fans of The Walking Dead, considering the fact that previous games based on the franchise have fallen short of expectations.

As an avid fan, I truly hope Behaviour Interactive won’t make us wait too long for more juicy details about the upcoming crossover with “The Walking Dead.” This potential collaboration could be one of the biggest in the game’s history, considering the massive impact “The Walking Dead” had on pop culture at one point. Although its popularity has waned somewhat over the years, securing this iconic franchise for “Dead by Daylight” is still a significant coup, especially following the successful integration of Five Nights at Freddy’s content. I can hardly wait to see what Behaviour Interactive has in store for us!
