Deadpool is back after being on hold for over a year, and the return started with an apology to fans. Marvel and Shueisha have been working together to create manga versions of popular Marvel heroes, and Deadpool’s manga was one of the most exciting projects. However, the series was paused in 2024 for reasons that weren’t fully explained.
I’m so excited! Deadpool: Samurai is back after being on break for over a year, and it’s hilarious because Deadpool actually apologizes to us, the fans, right away for making us wait! He even points out it’s been 15 months! And get this – he promises to try and deliver some ‘clean, wholesome’ content from now on, just to make sure we don’t have to wait that long again. It’s a really fun way to kick off the new chapter.

I promise to focus on creating fun and appropriate content that everyone can enjoy, and I hope you’ll continue to read Deadpool: Samurai.
The comic Deadpool: Samurai continues the story immediately after the previous issue, with Deadpool battling Wolviepool, a different version of himself. A group of Deadpools from across the multiverse have been trying to destroy everything, and Wolviepool gets closer to that goal when he finds Loki’s Tempad. This device sends Deadpool and his allies to a strange new world that fans of mature manga from Shueisha’s Jump+ platform will likely recognize, creating a unique crossover that could only happen here.
Deadpool Joins World’s End Harem
The latest chapter of Deadpool: Samurai takes a surprising turn when Deadpool finds himself transported into the world of World’s End Harem, a series known for its mature themes. It’s funny to see Deadpool acknowledge the story’s pause and jokingly promise a more careful approach to using Marvel characters, only for the story to immediately jump into a very explicit series that’s less action-packed than most other Jump titles.
Originally published on Jump+ in 2016 by LINK and Kotaro Shono, World’s End Harem is set in a world where a virus has eliminated most of the male population. The few men who survive and become immune are then responsible for repopulating the world. The series was popular enough to run for several years and now, surprisingly, it’s crossing over with Deadpool, leaving fans eager to see what happens next.
