Death end re;Quest Code Z for Switch coming to Asia in English in 2026

eastasiasoft announced that the Switch version of the dungeon RPG Death end re;Quest Code Z will be available in English throughout Asia in 2026. The game will feature English text and Japanese voice acting. Pre-orders for a physical copy will begin on Play-Asia on April 16th at 8:00 AM Pacific Time / 11:00 AM Eastern Time. You can save money by using the coupon code “GEMATSU2025”.

The game will be sold as a physical copy in two versions. A standard edition costs $39.99, while a limited edition is available for $59.99. The limited edition includes the game itself, a manual, a soundtrack CD, an art book, Joy-Con stickers, a mini case, an acrylic standee, and a numbered certificate, all packaged in a special collector’s box. Only 2,000 limited editions will be made.

Death end re;Quest Code Z was initially released in Japan on September 19, 2024 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch. Western audiences received the game on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on May 13, 2025, with a PC version launching on Steam worldwide on August 27, 2025. Unfortunately, the planned Western release of the Switch version was canceled because it didn’t meet Nintendo’s requirements.

Iris was born on World DE-1, a planet very similar to Earth in the early 2000s. Her birth started a repeating cycle of unfortunate events, which Arata Mizunashi and his team slowly worked to fix. Once things were better, Iris created a new version of her world, called World DE-1.5, where people overcame their differences and lived together peacefully. However, a new threat has emerged. A mysterious man and his group – who strangely resemble the world’s former heroes – are causing trouble. Now, Sayaka Hiwatari must step up to face this growing chaos, where it’s becoming difficult to tell who is friend or foe.

And so the battle with another world enters a new phase! Will you survive and escape?
