Get ready for some holiday cheer! More details about the upcoming Christmas episodes of both “Beyond Paradise” and “Death in Paradise” have just been released.
Both special episodes are set to feature a fantastic lineup of guest stars, and the full cast lists have just been revealed.
This year’s Death in Paradise Christmas special will feature guest appearances from several well-known actors, including Josie Lawrence (known for ‘Outside Edge’), Kate Ashfield (‘Shaun of the Dead’), Pearl Mackie (‘Doctor Who’), James Baxter (‘Waterloo Road’), Billy Harris (‘Ted Lasso’), Oriana Charles, and Alix Serman.
Get ready for some festive cheer! BBC’s latest offering promises a Christmas double dose of mystery, unfolding in both the sunny paradise of Saint Marie and back home in Swindon. I’m hearing Don Gilet, as DI Mervin Wilson, is leading the charge, and they’ve already brought in a fantastic guest star to help spread the holiday spirit…and solve a crime, of course!
Shantol Jackson returns as DS Naomi Thomas, alongside Ginny Holder as Officer Darlene Curtis, Shaquille Ali-Yebuah as Officer Sebastian Rose, and Élizabeth Bourgine as Catherine Bordey.
Okay, so I just read the synopsis for this new episode and it sounds wild. Basically, a company Christmas party goes horribly wrong when four coworkers wake up to find someone dead at their villa in the Caribbean. But here’s the really weird part: the murder weapon turns out to be locked away in a drawer… back in Swindon, England! The detectives, led by DI Mervin Wilson, are completely stumped about how that’s even possible. Seriously, a locked-room mystery… thousands of miles away? I’m already hooked!
When a puzzling case leaves the team stranded on Saint Marie, they turn to someone they know for assistance. At the same time, Mervin is worried about getting news from his brother, which is keeping him from enjoying the island’s Christmas festivities. Will Mervin be able to sort out his family issues and finally get into the holiday spirit, both for himself and everyone around him?
The new series of Beyond Paradise takes us back to Shipton Abbott, and features guest appearances from Adrian Edmondson (known for Alien: Earth), James Lance (from Ted Lasso), and Jonny Weldon (One Day).
The latest episode begins with a man found unconscious on the steps of the Shipton Abbott police station. He has no memory of who he is, but he’s clutching a photo of Humphrey. While trying to figure out his identity, the team also juggles a busy schedule of holiday-related cases.
Zoe, Anne, and a surprise guest join Martha as she rushes to complete her secret project. Meanwhile, Kelby attempts to help a man stuck inside a snowman suit. With a sudden increase in visitors, a string of holiday crimes to solve, and a touching reunion potentially happening, the team has a lot on their plate – and a big reveal is coming up!
The show wouldn’t be the same without Kris Marshall as DI Humphrey Goodman, and he’s back, leading the team with Sally Bretton.
The show also welcomes back several actors, including Zahra Ahmadi as DS Esther Williams, Dylan Llewellyn as PC Kelby Hartford, Barbara Flynn as Anne Lloyd, Felicity Montagu as Margo Martins, Jamie Bamber as Archie Hughes, and Melina Sinadinou as Zoe Williams.
