■ New Features

Get Wilder with new “to the wilder” Mode and More

Okay, so I’m super excited because a new challenge mode is coming to the PC version of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach! It’s called “to the wilder” and it sounds intense. Basically, if you really want to push your skills as a porter, this is it. The environments are brutal, enemies are everywhere, and you’ll need to be seriously clever to complete deliveries. Once you start, there’s no going back, but the feeling of accomplishment will be amazing. Plus, other players will actually show their gratitude for any help you give them, which is a really cool touch!

New Fieldware and VR Training Area

Sam now has access to new items like bandanas, which can be earned by completing “Trapped in a Strange Realm,” a new VR training mode that lets you experience Sam’s most memorable battles against Neil.

Chiral Feline Visits

Porters on the DHV Magellan will now encounter the Chiral Feline in their private room. This creature is one of the new features added to Photo Mode.

New Features Also Coming to PlayStation 5

We’re pleased to announce that all the new content will be released for the PlayStation 5 version of the game simultaneously.

■ PC Version Technical Features

The PC version of the game benefits from several enhancements thanks to our collaboration with Nixxes Software. These include support for NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS technologies to improve performance and visuals, along with unlimited frame rates and customizable graphics options. It also supports super-ultrawide (32:9) monitors for gameplay and standard ultrawide (21:9) for cutscenes. Players can use a mouse and keyboard with custom controls, and the game fully integrates with the DualSense controller, offering haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and spatial sound. The PlayStation 5 version will also support standard ultrawide (21:9) monitors.

Players with powerful PCs will have the option to turn on Ray Tracing for more realistic reflections and lighting. This feature will enhance surfaces like water and create more natural shadows in detailed scenes. It’s designed for those who want to maximize the game’s visual quality beyond the highest existing settings. However, Ray Tracing isn’t required to play the game; it’s an optional feature for players with high-end hardware.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is available now for PlayStation 5.
