Singer Demi Lovato surprised the audience at her It’s Not That Deep Tour in New York City on April 24th by bringing her husband, Jutes, onstage. The couple performed “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls, which they played at their wedding.

During a concert, Demi Lovato, wearing a red bodysuit and gloves, announced she wanted to do something special. She then asked her husband to join her on stage, according to a video posted to TikTok.

Jordan Lutes, known as the singer of “Sleepyhead,” walked onto the stage wearing all black and was greeted by cheering fans.

Okay, I nearly lost it when I saw this! Demi, my queen, just asked Jutes to sing with her – like, for the very first time! And he said yes! Just ‘Let’s do it,’ but oh my god, it’s happening! I’m so ready for this collaboration, I’ve been dreaming of their voices together forever!

The couple then sang to each other using the popular 1998 love song. John Rzeznik, the lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls, actually performed the song live when they had their first dance as husband and wife at their wedding in May 2025.

Okay, so Demi and Jutes really sealed the moment during their performance! It was so sweet – they were holding hands, singing to each other, and then shared a really tender kiss while embracing. It was a super cute display of affection and definitely felt like a genuine connection. As someone who watches a lot of couples, it was a lovely, intimate moment!

After the emotional performance, Demi encouraged the audience to applaud, saying, “Give it up for my baby!” Jutes, 35, repeated the sentiment as he left the stage, shouting, “Give it up for my baby!”

The former Disney Channel star recently revealed she’s falling deeper in love with the singer known as “Red Velvet” each day.
