Demi Lovato is supporting her sister through the hard times.
Oh my gosh, you guys, Madison De La Garza is just… everything. I was *so* heartbroken to see her post about the anniversary of losing her sweet Xiomara – it was such a raw and emotional tribute. And the singer of “Fast” (I won’t name names, but you *know* who I mean!) was so incredibly sweet to reach out and send her love and support. It just shows what a kind person they are, and honestly, Madison and her boyfriend Ryan Mitchell deserve all the love in the world after going through something so devastating. It just *kills* me thinking about it. Desperate Housewives always felt like family, and seeing this just… ugh. I’m sending all my love to them.
“i love u so much,” Demi commented on her younger sister’s Instagram post from September 27th. “u r so strong and xo is always there for u. happy birthday sweet angel.”
Madison marked the sad anniversary of her baby girl’s passing – who died during an emergency C-section last September – by sharing a photo of herself at Xiomara’s tombstone. She wanted to commemorate the difficult occasion and remember her daughter.
“happy heavenly 1st birthday my angel,” she wrote as the caption for the Instagram photo. “Mommy and daddy love you so much, sweet baby Xiomara.”
The 23-year-old revealed the heartbreaking news last October, just a month after experiencing a terrible loss.
On September 27th, Ryan and I met our baby girl for the first and last time after she was delivered by emergency C-section,” she shared on Instagram. “Thank you, Xiomara, for the joy of being parents to such a perfect little angel. Mommy and Daddy love you so much, sweet girl.
Demi and her now-husband Jutes-they got married in May-were offering support to Ryan and Madison, and the “Skyscraper” singer also shared a heartfelt message.
“Rest in peace to my sweet, wonderful niece Xiomara,” she shared on her Instagram Stories. “I’m so thankful I had the chance to hold you. I will always be your aunt. I love you dearly @maddelagarza.”
She left a comment on the post, saying, “I love you so much, Xiomara. You’re an angel in every way. I’ll always be your auntie.”
Jutes (real name Jordan Lutes) also expressed his support for his sister-in-law and late neice.
“I love you so much,” he commented. “Rest easy baby angel Xiomara.”
I just had to share how much I adore Xiomara! I left a comment saying, “I love you so much Xiomara. An angel in every sense of the word. I’ll be your auntie forever.” She truly is that special, and I’m so excited to be a part of her life. It felt so natural to express my love and promise to always be there for her, like an auntie should. I even included a heart emoji with my message!
Jutes (real name Jordan Lutes) also expressed his support for his sister-in-law and late neice.
“I love you so much,” he commented. “Rest easy baby angel Xiomara.”

That fall, shortly after Madison told everyone she was expecting, Demi really stressed how important family is – more important than anything else.
Family is incredibly important to me,” she shared with TopMob News in September 2024. “I prioritize family and friends above all else, more than any achievement or success.”
