Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the Demon Slayer manga. Following the end of the Hashira Training Arc, Demon Slayer has announced that the Infinity Castle Arc – the longest and most action-packed part of the story – will be adapted into a series of three movies. The final part of the manga is split into two sections: Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown. It’s currently unknown whether Sunrise Countdown will be a movie or a TV season, but fans can definitely look forward to seeing the exciting battles of the Infinity Castle Arc in theaters. The first movie in the trilogy was released this year and has been incredibly popular worldwide.
The first Demon Slayer movie is already the most successful anime film ever made, but the most exciting part of the story hasn’t been animated yet. The battles are about to become even more intense, as the two strongest demons and the main villain, Muzan, still need to be defeated. Currently, the entire Demon Slayer Corps is stuck in a never-ending maze, where both the experienced Hashira and the newer members are facing the toughest fights of their lives.
Demon Slayer Has At Least Four Members On the Same Level As Hashira

Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, Kanao Tsuyuri, and Genya Shinazugawa all successfully completed the grueling Final Selection. Although Genya couldn’t use traditional breathing techniques, he was strong enough to help a Hashira, the Corps’ most elite Demon Slayers. The others eventually reached that same high level. During the first major conflict, Tanjiro teamed up with Giyu Tomioka to defeat Akaza, a powerful demon ranked third in the hierarchy. Giyu was impressed by how much Tanjiro had improved, acknowledging his strength was on par with a Hashira. However, Tanjiro continued to develop, becoming even more powerful than most of the Hashira by the end of the story.
Zenitsu remarkably defeated Kaigaku, a powerful Upper Rank Six demon, a feat that would challenge even the Hashira. Meanwhile, Kanao and Inosuke fought against Doma, the Upper Rank Two, who had just killed Shinobu Kocho and absorbed her poison. Although Inosuke’s unique, self-taught breathing style makes his potential as a Hashira questionable, Doma believed Kanao possessed greater strength than Shinobu.
Although these Demon Slayers were strong, they didn’t become Hashira because the Corps fell apart after the last battle. With so many members fighting at a similar level to the Hashira anyway, the usual ranking system didn’t matter much – everyone was just trying to win.
