The Inheritance is heading to Channel 4 – and we now know exactly when to expect the premiere.
The 12-episode game show, previously announced for this year, is set to offer a thrilling blend of camp competition, strategic mind games, and intrigue. It’s all set to premiere on Channel 4 at 9pm on Sunday, August 31st. Following that, the next two episodes will air back-to-back on the following nights.
Three episodes will then be released each week.
In a similar vein as The Traitors, the upcoming series invites 13 individuals, none of whom know each other, to a magnificent estate. They are challenged to compete against one another for a portion of the inheritance left by The Deceased, a character portrayed by Elizabeth Hurley.
As a film enthusiast, here’s my take on that: “In this intriguing storyline, it won’t be a walk in the park to snatch the fortune. The late lady had a knack for mischief and has crafted a tricky game, ensuring only the most skilled players can claim her legacy.
As one of the chosen thirteen, I find myself tasked with fulfilling the last wishes of someone who has passed, a sequence of demanding tasks that call for both intelligence and teamwork. These tasks aren’t exactly simple; they require us to be clever, cooperative, and resourceful. It won’t be an easy ride, but we’re up for the challenge.

Presented by Studio Lambert, who also created The Traitors UK, it’s no wonder there’s a crucial twist: only a single player can take the cash earned in each round, so it falls upon one of them to convince the others that they are the rightful recipient of the money they collectively earned.
Robert Rinder, both a lawyer and popular television personality, is set to join forces with Hurley. In this new role, he will assume the position of The Deceased’s Executor and provide trusted legal advice.
