Lauren Sánchez Bezos is manifesting a growing family with husband Jeff Bezos.
Lauren Sanchez recently told the New York Times she’s eager to have a child with Jeff Bezos, saying it could happen at any moment. However, despite this, there are currently no plans for the couple to expand their family, which already includes eight children between them.
As a spokesperson for Lauren said in an update to the April 11 profile, she is “not having a baby.”
The couple, married last June, aren’t planning to have children right now, but the 56-year-old recently talked about how happy they are together.
Lauren, who is a mom to Nikko Gonzalez (25), Evan Whitesell (19), and Ella Whitesell (18) from past relationships, really values her friendship with Jeff. As she explained, ‘I share absolutely everything with him – everything!’ She stressed that she doesn’t call just anyone her best friend.
The author of The Fly Who Flew Under the Sea also talked about how she and Jeff – who has four children with his former wife, MacKenzie Scott – have successfully combined their families. She even shared a heartwarming story from their wedding in Italy.
Lauren recently shared on the Today show that her dyslexic child spoke about a deeply meaningful moment. She said she didn’t know what he was going to say beforehand.
Lauren shared that a heartfelt story her son told about their childhood – a moment that showed how close they were – was the most touching part of her wedding, second only to marrying her husband, Jeff.

Lauren recently talked about her experience becoming an empty nester, as her youngest daughter, Ella, is getting ready for college next fall.
Lauren shared that she had dinner with Ella recently. She said she’s not usually one to cry, but she unexpectedly started when talking about college. To her surprise, Ella didn’t ask if she was alright – she actually started laughing.

Lauren Sánchez Bezos welcomed son Nikko Gonzalez with then-boyfriend Tony Gonzalez on Feb. 12, 2001.
Tony played for the Kansas City Chiefs for twelve seasons before finishing his career with the Atlanta Falcons and retiring in 2013.
He’s now a football analyst, and though he and Lauren separated when their son, Nikko, was young, they later found a way to successfully co-parent him as friends.
Lauren shared with the Wall Street Journal in 2023 that it had taken around five years to reach this point, mentioning they were all together for Thanksgiving. She clarified that while being friends with an ex isn’t essential for everyone, being able to communicate is important.

Tony and his wife, October “Tobie” Gonzalez, have three children together: two daughters and a son. In February 2025, when Tony turned 49, his daughter Lauren shared a heartfelt birthday message on Instagram, calling him “one of the best dads ever!”
Nikko currently lives in New York City, where he identifies as a founder and someone working on AI-powered research, according to his Instagram profile. He’s also a model and recently made his first appearance on the runway at the Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2024-2025 menswear show. He’s a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder.
In a 2023 interview with Vogue, Nikko described his blended family as surprisingly harmonious. He explained, “Everyone genuinely gets along, and there aren’t any sides being taken. It’s actually quite uneventful.”

Lauren Conrad married Patrick Whitesell, an executive at Endeavor, in August 2005. The wedding, held in Santa Barbara, California, included guests like Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Hugh Jackman – all clients of the groom’s talent agency.
Oh my gosh, can we talk about how adorable Evan Whitesell is? He arrived on June 22nd, 2006, and I’ve been following Lauren and Patrick ever since! You know, they’re so good at keeping things to themselves. Even when Lauren was on Good Day LA – she was amazing from 2011 to 2017, seriously! – they rarely let us peek into their family life. It’s sweet, though, seeing them bring the kids to a few events here and there. They just seem like such a private, lovely family!

But Lauren did share in August 2024 that Evan was following in her footsteps as a helicopter pilot.
She shared on Instagram how watching her child gain independence for the first time felt. It’s a mix of letting go and trusting they’re prepared, which is both scary and incredibly fulfilling.
In August 2025, a mom described as ‘proud, heartbroken, and grateful’ posted on Instagram that she had just dropped her son, Evan, off at the University of Miami to start his first year of college.

Eleanor Whitesell, known as Ella, was born on January 15, 2008. Like her brother, she had a private and sheltered upbringing in Los Angeles.
Lauren used to enjoy driving her teenage daughter, Ella, to school each morning, even though they sometimes argued. She told Vogue in 2023 that Ella would either share her thoughts and feelings, or remain quiet, and Lauren appreciated both moments.
Lauren, who is marrying Jeff Bezos in June 2025, expressed her excitement about her maid of honor, Ella, wearing a unique, custom-made Dolce & Gabbana suit. She told Vogue that Ella is truly original and marches to the beat of her own drum.

Jeff Bezos and his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott, have four children together. Only their oldest child, Preston Bezos (born in 2000), is publicly known. They’ve generally kept the identities and ages of their other children private. Jeff has mentioned they adopted a daughter from China, and the whole family of six attended the premiere of Star Trek Beyond in July 2016, which was a rare public appearance.
You know, one of my favorite things is starting the day slowly. Like Jeff Bezos shared with the Economic Club a while back, I really cherish those simple morning moments – reading the newspaper, enjoying a cup of coffee, and especially having breakfast with my kids before they head off to school. He called it ‘puttering time,’ and honestly, that’s exactly what it is – and it’s incredibly important to me too.

In January 2019, Jeff and MacKenzie announced they were separating after 25 years of marriage. It quickly came out that Jeff had already started a relationship with Lauren, who had been quietly separated from her husband, Patrick, for some time. Soon after, both Lauren and Patrick filed for divorce, and the divorce was finalized in October 2019.
Lauren says that after she and Jeff moved in together, he started telling their daughter, Ella, every morning before school, “Don’t learn anything I wouldn’t learn!”
The Emmy Award-winning creator shared with Vogue in 2023 that their family life is quite ordinary, largely focused on their children.
