Behind the scenes with director Michael Head…
I’ve been following Michael Head’s work for a while now. He’s incredibly talented – not only is he an actor and playwright with some really successful plays, but he’s also become a fantastic film director. I loved ‘Bermondsey Tales: Fall of the Roman Empire,’ and I’m really looking forward to ‘Jackie the Stripper.’ But his newest project, ‘The Spin,’ is particularly exciting – it’s an Irish road movie, and the script is by Colin Broderick and Mark McCausland. I can’t wait to see it!
The story of The Spin
This movie centers around Dermot and Elvis, two friends with a shared love of music, who embark on a cross-country trip across Ireland. They have just two days to save their beloved record store from going out of business, and one of them faces additional challenges beyond simply getting there.
What director Micheal Head told us….
The movie features a talented cast, including Kimberley Wyatt from the Pussycat Dolls and Maura Higgins. We spoke with director Michael Head about some fun behind-the-scenes moments – like unreliable cars, playful antics, and the experience of filming in Ireland for the very first time.
