Since its release in 2023, Disney Dreamlight Valley has received new content through free updates adding characters and quests, as well as three paid expansion packs. Today, Gameloft announced a new type of downloadable content called Adventure Packs. The first pack, featuring Winnie the Pooh and friends, will be available on July 8th.
Let’s start with the most important thing: Adventure Packs will be paid downloadable content, similar to previous expansions. Don’t worry, Gameloft is still planning free updates too – they’ve already announced Ralph from Wreck-It Ralph will be added! The first Adventure Pack, called Honeyglow Woods, was fully revealed on June 17th and will add 4 new areas, 3 new characters, and other content to the game. It’s launching on July 8th, so here’s a look at what you can expect.
DDV Announces New Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack Starring Winnie the Pooh
On June 17th, Disney announced that Honeyglow Woods will be the first expansion for Disney Dreamlight Valley, releasing on July 8th. The addition of characters from the Hundred Acre Wood isn’t a coincidence – 2026 will be the 100th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh! This large update will celebrate Winnie the Pooh and his friends, and also introduce a new type of downloadable content to the game.
Honeyglow Woods is coming to the Valley with some fun new additions, including Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet! You’ll be able to build friendships with each of them and earn special rewards. Once you complete their individual stories, you can even add their homes to your Valley. The quests seem tailored to each character – we’ll help Eeyore locate his tail and encourage Piglet to be brave.
The Honeyglow Woods update introduces four new areas to discover: Drowsybloom Acres, Gloom Meadow, Braveheart Grove, and Nectar Apiary. You’ll reach these areas after stepping through the portal. Plus, to save you trips back to the Valley, you can now create portals directly to Chez Remy and Scrooge’s store.
Naturally, Dreamlight Valley couldn’t introduce Pooh without including his beloved honey! This new Adventure Pack introduces beekeeping, allowing players to care for bees and collect honey. That honey can then be used in several new crafting recipes. But the most exciting addition is a brand-new, adorable hedgehog coming to Dreamlight Valley! I’m eager to discover its favorite food so I can befriend it right away.
What is an Adventure Pack in DDV?

As the first of its kind, this Adventure Pack is likely raising some questions, especially how it differs from an Expansion Pass. The main difference is the price: Honeyglow Woods will cost $16.99, which is less than the $29.99 price of an Expansion Pass like Wishblossom Ranch. This means Honeyglow Woods is a bit smaller in scope and has less story content. However, it still offers more content than our usual free updates for Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Free updates usually introduce one or two new characters, but Adventure Packs offer much more. They include a brand-new story, three new characters with their own quests, and a completely new area to explore with multiple regions. This new area seems bigger than the ones added with regular, free character updates.
This approach feels similar to how The Sims 4 releases paid content in different sizes. It’s a noteworthy change for Gameloft, especially considering Disney Dreamlight Valley already has three Expansion Passes and will continue receiving free updates through 2026. It appears ‘Adventure Packs’ will now be a regular feature, adding to the game’s ongoing stream of new content.
