Disney is developing a third Incredibles movie. While fans were excited to hear the news at the 2024 D23 Expo, the first promotional image released wasn’t a traditional poster. Despite a 14-year wait between the first two films, The Incredibles remains a key franchise for Pixar, and Disney has now officially confirmed the sequel is in development – though they only shared the movie’s title reveal initially.
Disney recently shared what looks like the first poster for Incredibles 3, but it’s a bit of a trick! The poster appeared as part of a promotional campaign for their upcoming movie, Zootopia 2. In a funny post on a fake movie-rating site (a spoof of Letterboxd), the character Judy Hopps lists her favorite films, and one of them is titled The Incredibulls 3.

The poster for The Incredibulls 3 cleverly mimics the original The Incredibles movie poster from 2004, showing a bull dressed in Mr. Incredible’s red suit. The poster also includes the phrase “coming soon,” suggesting a third Incredibles film is on the way.

I love how the world of Zootopia feels so current, with all those little nods to our own pop culture. I think the recent Incredibulls promotion is a really smart move by Disney. It shows how much potential there is in that Zootopia universe and a cool way to connect all their different movies and characters.
In the same post highlighting Judy Hopps’ favorite movies, Disney shared some fun animal-themed parodies, including ‘Fantastic Fur’ (based on Marvel’s The Fantastic Four), ‘The Neighsayer 2’, and ‘The Devil Wears Preyda 2’, which seems to tease the next Devil Wears Prada movie.
Okay, so this isn’t exactly the full trailer for Incredibles 3 we’ve all been dreaming of, but it’s still awesome to see Disney is actually making it happen! They showed off the first official logo at D23 back in August 2024, and it’s really cool – it totally keeps the same look and feel as the first two Incredibles movies, which is exactly what I wanted.

Another logo version was created, using the iconic “i” from the Incredibles logo. This version features three lines within the “i” to symbolize the three movies in the series.

Originally, Brad Bird was set to direct Incredibles 3. But now, Peter Sohn, who directed Elemental, will be taking over as director, while Brad Bird will still write and produce the film.
When Will Fans Get An Official Look at Incredibles 3?
The mention of Incredibles 3 in relation to Zootopia 2 marks Disney’s first update on the sequel in over a year. Since Disney’s D23 event, no new trailers or information about the next Incredibles movie have been released, and the logos connecting the two films are currently the only official visuals available for the upcoming trilogy.
A recent parody poster for Incredibles 3 suggests the studio is actively developing the sequel, though there’s no official news on when we can expect updates. Current estimates point to a release in 2028 or later, so it will likely be some time before we see any official trailers or marketing materials.
With marketing for Toy Story 5 – a big release from Pixar and Disney planned for 2026 – just starting about eight months before the movie comes out, it’s likely we won’t see any promotional materials for Incredibles 3 until 2027 or beyond.
