According to a listing on the Australian Nintendo eShop, AdHoc Studio plans to release Dispatch – a comedic adventure game about the lives of superheroes at work – for both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2 on January 29, 2026.
Dispatch initially released on PlayStation 5 and Steam (for PC) on October 22, 2025, and concluded its first season with a final episode on November 12th.
Here is an overview of the game, via AdHoc Studio:
About
Created by the team behind Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, Dispatch is a funny look at the lives of superheroes working in Los Angeles today.
You are Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man. After a tough battle damages his mech-suit, he finds himself working at a superhero dispatch center – not as a hero, but as the person who sends them out on missions. His job involves helping former supervillains turn their lives around, managing the team, dealing with workplace drama, and secretly working to repair his suit so he can get revenge on his enemy.
Key Features
- Shape Your Story – In Dispatch, every decision you make influences the unfolding narrative. From banter in the breakroom to life-or-death situations in the field, your choices affect your relationships with the heroes, their allegiances, and the path your own story takes.
- Deploy Your Heroes – Use the strategy map to review ongoing emergencies and deploy the right (or wrong) heroes to deal with them. Balance the risks and rewards as you make tactical decisions, knowing that each choice can have lasting consequences for your team and the city.
- Manage Your Roster – Managing heroes sometimes goes beyond their powers. Each hero comes with quirks, flaws, and baggage you’ll need to navigate to keep the team together. Upgrade their skills and unlock abilities to boost their effectiveness in the field.
Dispatch is a unique story that combines adventure, clever planning, and funny moments to ask a big question: what really makes someone a hero – is it through grand acts of bravery, or the everyday work they do?
