Gregory Zecca is facing legal trouble following a family tragedy.
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! It’s been six months since Duane Chapman – Dog, you know, THE Dog – lost his sweet grandson, Anthony, in this terrible accident. His stepson accidentally shot him, it was just awful. And now, finally, on February 4th, they arrested him! The Collier County Sheriff’s Office posted about it online, and I just… I can’t even imagine how Dog and the family must be feeling. It’s been so long coming, but still… heartbreaking. I’ve been following this story so closely, and it’s just devastating.
Following an investigation, Zecca has been charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child involving a firearm, and also with using a firearm while intoxicated. These charges stem from an incident on July 19th that led to the death of a teenager. If convicted of aggravated manslaughter, Zecca could face a life sentence.
Francie Frane’s son, age 39, will be in court on March 2nd, according to TopMob News. He’s the stepson of Dog the Bounty Hunter and son of Francie’s late husband. He doesn’t currently have a lawyer.
Sheriff Kevin Rambosk described Zecca’s arrest as a tragic event that could have been avoided. He stated that detectives conducted a comprehensive investigation, carefully reviewing all available evidence, including witness accounts, forensic analysis, and legal documents.
The speaker praised the team’s dedication and skill in solving a very challenging case.
Following his son’s death, Zecca was held under psychiatric care for 72 hours due to extreme grief, according to a family representative who spoke with TMZ on July 21. The representative explained that there were worries Zecca might attempt suicide, and he was unable to communicate with officials because he was heavily medicated.
Although Zecca hasn’t spoken publicly about the situation, a representative for Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife previously shared their sadness over Anthony’s death.
The couple’s representative told TMZ that the family is heartbroken by this terrible accident and asks for prayers as they mourn the loss of their grandson, Anthony.
