Dolly Parton’s sister Freida Parton will always love her.
This explains why Dolly Parton recently asked her fans for prayers while facing some health issues. After Freida, one of Dolly’s eleven siblings, shared this information, causing worry among fans, she explained what she meant by the request.
I just wanted to clarify my recent post about Dolly. I didn’t intend to worry anyone, but she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I simply asked for prayers because, personally, I find a lot of comfort and strength in the power of prayer, and I truly believe it can help.
Freida described the gesture as simply a little sister caring for her older sibling. She also expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you all for your support. Your kindness really means a lot.”
I’ve been following the news about Dolly, and it sounds like she’s been dealing with a bit of a health scare. While her sister Freida kept the details private, Dolly’s manager, Olly Rowland, let us know it’s related to a kidney stone she actually first mentioned to fans back in September. It’s good to know what was going on, and hopefully she’s on the mend!
He told the Las Vegas Review-Journal it was simply kidney stones and the treatment she needed. He explained that a post by her sister had been misinterpreted and gained a lot of unnecessary attention.
Once Dolly learned she had a kidney stone, she announced she was cancelling her upcoming concerts in Las Vegas due to health reasons.
I’ve been facing some health issues and need a few medical procedures, as my doctors have advised. I’m joking that it’s like a major service for my body – definitely not a routine cosmetic appointment!
Instead of performing in Dec. 2025, Dolly was moving the dates to Sept. 2026.
I’m truly sorry, but I won’t be able to rehearse and prepare the show I want to deliver – the one you deserve. You spend your hard-earned money to see me perform, and I want to be at my absolute best when I’m on stage. I’ll still be working on all my other projects here in Nashville, but I simply need some time to get fully prepared for the show, as they say.
Dolly addressed fans’ concerns about retirement, letting them know her regular work schedule would continue as usual.
I’m not planning on retiring yet – I haven’t felt like God’s asked me to stop. However, I do feel like He wants me to take things a little slower right now, so I can be prepared for future opportunities with all of you. I appreciate your love and understanding.

Nikki Bella, known from *Total Bellas*, shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit during the elbow of fellow wrestler Piper Niven in a match back in July 2025.
She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, saying they would get the issue resolved eventually. She explained to the doctor that as soon as she retired from her current job, she would return to address the problem and ensure everything looked its best, anticipating future use and wanting to make sure it didn’t appear neglected.
Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in *12 Years a Slave*, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with the condition for over ten years.
She explained that growing up, many girls are taught to expect period pain and to accept it as a normal part of womanhood. This often leaves people dealing with a common issue in silence and without support.
In July 2025, the actress from *Daisy Jones & The Six* revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.
She messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “You haven’t tweeted in ages!” Then, jokingly, she added, “Have you ever thought maybe I wore such tight pants six months ago that I got a hernia and I’ve been afraid to mention it?”
The former star of *Beverly Hills, 90210* shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery to fix a nearly ruptured appendix.
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain which led him to the emergency room. He explained that his appendix had a perforation – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”
A Racing Louisville soccer player fell to the ground shortly after the start of her team’s game against Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field in Seattle.
According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, before suddenly collapsing. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.
I was so relieved to hear that Savannah got immediate medical attention right on the field. The NWSL shared an update on X later that night saying she was taken to a local hospital to be checked out further, but thankfully, she was reported as being stable and alert. It was scary, but that news definitely eased my worries.
As someone who’s always been interested in wellness and how the past impacts our present, I found Adam Devine’s recent comments really resonated. He shared that a childhood accident – he was hit by a cement truck when he was just 11 – still causes him issues today. It’s a powerful reminder that even events from long ago can continue to affect our physical well-being, and it highlights the importance of addressing those lingering effects.
“It’s been incredibly difficult,” Devine shared on the 2025 episode of the *In Depth With Graham Bensinger* podcast. “I’ve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—within the last year, actually.”
He explained that his pain is intermittent, and mentioned he has some minor physical issues and imperfections.
A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He said he was in so much pain he had to crawl on his hands and knees, and the pain got worse during a road trip with a friend.
He described a strange tingling sensation that still lingered in his knees and toes as of a March 2025 podcast episode of *Trading Secrets*. He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a squat, or even stand on one leg without falling. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”
Gina Kirschenheiter from *The Real Housewives of Orange County* revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is recovering well.
I was so concerned to hear about Alec Baldwin! Back in March of 2025, he had a bit of a health issue while attending a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden, and unfortunately, he needed to be helped out of the arena.
The comedian later posted on social media to explain he had food poisoning, but was starting to feel better.
In February 2025, the former *Even Stevens* star revealed she was accidentally shot in the face during a birthday celebration for her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a clay pigeon shooting trip when the incident occurred.
In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a gun unsafely. Brendan Rooney quickly helped her, evaluated her injuries, and drove her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet came dangerously close to her right eye – less than an inch away.
The former *Kim Possible* star shared that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, but they will keep a close watch on the situation. Thankfully, their vision is currently normal.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving a frightening experience. She shared how much she cherishes her daughters, husband, family, and friends, saying she realized how precious life is. She urged everyone to hug their loved ones often, because things can change in an instant.
Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, surprisingly, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” and receiving critical comments online, doctors began commenting on interviews, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome, a condition often linked to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. She later learned she had a form of Cushing syndrome that would resolve on its own, and she’s relieved to be healthy. As she shared, getting this diagnosis and knowing she’d be okay was the best possible news.
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE what happened to him! Back in December 2024, during a game, he was accidentally cut by another player’s skate. It was awful! He needed a whopping 25 stitches to fix it. Thankfully, he’s fully recovered now, but his dad, Tom Fitzgerald – you know, the GM of the Devils? – told ESPN how incredibly lucky they were. He said, and I quote, ‘We’re very lucky. I don’t wish that on any parent.’ It was just… terrifying, honestly. I was so worried about him!
In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially unable to respond when Justin asked if she was alright. She then found she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face began to droop.
Although the symptoms eventually passed, Hailey went to the hospital where tests revealed she’d had a small blood clot in her brain, diagnosed as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA uncovered a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled through this hole and to her brain, causing the TIA.
Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now feeling well.
The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on *Good Morning America* that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary but reassuring everyone that he would be completely fine and was grateful he was on the mend.
Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the serious health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, *What Had Happened Was…*, Foxx explained that he suffered a severe headache one day and lost consciousness before he could even take an aspirin. He doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, noticed he wasn’t well and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he’d had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
After surgery, it took twenty days for Foxx to regain consciousness. When he woke up on May 4th, he was in a wheelchair and unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for extensive rehabilitation and therapy.
Foxx expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support he received, saying, “I appreciate every prayer, because I needed every prayer.”
The reality TV star shared that she briefly stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC competition show.
She shared on the show *Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser* that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather before everything went dark. She then described seeing light again, which led her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially starts to shut down.
Oh my god, I was absolutely devastated when I read Emilia Clarke’s essay. She filmed all those intense battle scenes in *Game of Thrones* while secretly battling for her *life*! It started with a terrible headache at the gym, and she described collapsing and being violently sick. She *knew* something was seriously wrong, that her brain was damaged. Turns out, she’d suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a stroke caused by bleeding around the brain, from a ruptured aneurysm. Immediate surgery, and she said the pain was unbearable. But even after that, while recovering, she couldn’t speak properly, just muttering nonsense. Can you imagine?! Thankfully, the aphasia cleared up and she was discharged after a month. But then, a scan in 2013 revealed the aneurysm had *doubled* in size! She needed *another* surgery, and it failed! She woke up screaming, and the doctors told her she might not survive without another, even more invasive procedure – they had to open her skull! It’s just… unbelievable. But the best part? She’s now at 100%! Seriously, what a fighter. I’m just so incredibly relieved and inspired by her story.
Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared her gratitude for her family’s support after she experienced a stroke in January 2024. She immediately contacted them, sending a text message and a picture, and they quickly came to her aid, as she told TopMob News correspondent Will Marfuggi in December 2024. While she could have been discharged after the stroke, existing health issues, including lupus and kidney problems, required a longer hospital stay. Cori is now recovering well, stating she’s “doing great” and has been working to regain some motor skills. She’s thankful for her family’s quick response and ongoing support during a challenging time.
Oh my gosh, learning about what Shailene Woodley went through just breaks my heart! I was listening to her on the *SHE MD Podcast* and she described how awful her early twenties were. She said she actually started *losing her hearing* and couldn’t even walk for five minutes without needing to sleep for *hours*! Everything she ate caused her pain. It was so confusing because doctors couldn’t quite figure out what was wrong. Being the amazing, proactive person she is, Shailene started researching herself, combining traditional doctors with holistic healers and herbalism – which she already studies! It wasn’t a quick fix, though. She said it took a full *ten years* to even start feeling better. And it wasn’t just physical! She explained how the constant pain led to so much anxiety around food, and even spiraled into body dysmorphia and questioning who she even *was*. It’s just…so relatable, honestly. But the best part? She’s finally healthy now! She said the issues resolved themselves and she’s genuinely *happy* to be feeling good again. I’m just so relieved and proud of her for sharing her story and taking control of her health!
