
Ahead of its release tomorrow, early critical assessments for Nintendo’s “Donkey Kong Bananza” are overwhelmingly favorable. At the moment, on Metacritic, it boasts a 90 Metascore from 79 reviews, which signifies “Widespread Acclaim.
According to IGN, this game received a perfect score of 10 out of 10, with rave reviews for its seamless movement, impressive abilities, and engaging gameplay. In essence, they’re saying that all the game components work flawlessly together to produce Nintendo’s inaugural Switch 2 standout title. The main campaign lasts about 20 hours, but there’s also additional content for players to explore after finishing the game.
The game was highly praised by GameSpot, being given a score of nine out of ten and labeled as “an outstanding game” and “worthy of comparison with games such as Super Mario Odyssey in Nintendo’s recent impressive body of work.” Overall, reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, with even the lower-scored reviews from The Guardian and Radio Times still giving it an eight out of ten. This 3D platformer is highly regarded.
On July 17th, “Donkey Kong Blitz” will be available on Nintendo Switch 2. This marks Donkey Kong’s first 3D platform adventure since 1999’s “Donkey Kong 64.” In this new journey, he partners with Pauline and explores Ingot Isle in search of the core, encountering the Void Company along the way.
