Don’t buy the official Xbox Ally case, buy this instead (it’s also 15% off for Prime members)

Did you preorder an Xbox Ally? You’re going to need a case.

The official ASUS case for the Xbox Ally is quite expensive at $70. It’s a sturdy hard case, but it doesn’t include a shoulder strap or have space for extra accessories, which I think is a drawback. It appears to be currently unavailable, and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it anyway.

If you’re looking at the Steam Deck and Lenovo Legion Go, you should also check out another option. It’s more affordable, offers a lot more features, and is even cheaper this week for Amazon Prime members.

The Tomtoc Arccos Travel Bag is designed to fit most PC gaming handhelds, and I’ve used it on my travels around the globe.

Currently, the Arccos Travel Bag is selling for $52.99 on Amazon, with a discounted price of $44.99 for Prime members. While it’s not a hard case, this bag offers plenty of internal organization and protection, giving you peace of mind when you’re traveling.

This bag is a bit like having a personal Tardis

The Tomtoc Arccos Travel Bag isn’t a hard-shell case; it’s more like a very durable, soft-sided bag. While it doesn’t offer the protection of a hard case, it’s held up well during my travels, even when packed inside a larger suitcase.

What sets this case apart is its soft, removable inner lining, which provides extra protection when holding the device. It even has room around the joysticks, preventing them from getting squeezed – a really clever and considerate design choice.

I’m really impressed by how much this bag can hold! It’s similar to my Tomtoc backpack – it looks smaller than it is, but it surprisingly fits a lot of extra items. You can easily pack things like a charger, several cables, a portable power bank, a folding keyboard, and even a travel mouse, and still have space in the front pocket for essentials like your passport.

The strap is very adjustable and comfortable. A handy front handle lets you quickly grab the bag without using the strap. You can even remove the strap completely if you prefer, making the bag easy to pack or carry by its handle.

I travel with this case everywhere, and it’s perfect for my Lenovo Legion Go – one of the bigger handheld gaming PCs available. It also comfortably fits smaller devices like the Xbox Ally and the upcoming Xbox Ally X. The case has a soft inner screen protector and a stabilizing insert, plus it’s made from tough, well-padded material and offers a surprising amount of storage space.

I highly recommend checking this out, especially if you’re getting an Xbox Ally, or if you already have a Nintendo Switch, Legion Go, ROG Ally, or Steam Deck.
