Fans of Dragon Ball received exciting news earlier this year: the anime series will return with Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol. Along with a remake of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods titled Dragon Ball Super: Beerus coming later in the year, it’s been a great time for fans of Goku and his friends. However, the Dragon Ball Super manga hasn’t released a new chapter in a while, but that’s about to change.
The official Dragon Ball website announced a new manga chapter is coming as part of the S.H. Figuarts line. Dragon Ball Super artist Toyotaro is working on this installment, which will feature characters like Gohan Beast, Demon King Piccolo, and Great Ape Vegeta, as well as updated versions of classic Goku looks. While it’s not a continuation of the main story, Toyotaro’s involvement is encouraging for fans. Details about the new manga are still unknown, but it’s scheduled to be released on October 23rd, meaning fans will have to wait a few months to see it.
Dragon Ball’s Manga Future

The last Dragon Ball Super manga arc ended after the events of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie. The manga continued the story, showing Gohan in his Beast form training with Goku, battling Broly, and facing off against Vegeta’s Ultra Ego. While the author, Toyotaro, hasn’t announced what’s next for the Z-Fighters, it seems likely a new story is coming, given the popularity of the Dragon Ball franchise.
The new anime, Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, adapts the popular “Moro Arc” storyline. Fans are anticipating this arc will be even longer than previous ones, like the Tournament of Power and Resurrection of F. While the exact number of episodes isn’t known yet, the anime’s return could span multiple seasons based on how much source material there is.
Okay, so beyond the Moro arc, there’s this amazing storyline that I really hope they adapt next! Right after the fight with Moro, this incredible alien bounty hunter named Granolah shows up, and he’s on a mission to get revenge on all Saiyans. But honestly, the best part? We finally got to see Vegeta achieve his ultimate form – Ultra Ego! It’s been a long time coming, and I’m dying to see it animated; we haven’t even gotten a glimpse of it in action yet!
