Dive into a brand new world of underwater adventure! Discover the secrets hidden within this vast and unexplored ocean.
The recently updated *Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake* now lets you explore the ocean in *Dragon Quest II*! This expands the game world and adds even more to discover.

In Dragon Quest II, you’ll gain the ability to travel by ship both on top of the water and beneath the surface as you continue your adventure!

Merfolk live peaceful lives beneath the sea, in a town called Mersea. But hidden nearby are also dangerous dungeons.

■ Save the Mermaids From Monsters Threatening Peace in the Ocean!
While exploring, the hero and his friends meet two mermaids who reveal that Hargon’s forces are causing trouble in the deep ocean. Now, they must defend the mermaids and bring peace back to the sea by defeating the evil creatures hiding below!
After a key event, the main characters meet two mermaids, and this meeting leads to several important changes in the story.

It appears the town where the mermaids live, and the Mermaids’ Sanctuary itself, are now facing danger from monsters.

The ocean depths hold shipwrecks and mysterious hidden locations. Be sure to explore every part of this huge underwater world.

Defeat a New Powerful Enemy You Encounter Under the Sea!
Okay, so I just ran into this seriously tough boss, Mariella! She’s one of Hargon’s Champions, and let me tell you, she’s a real threat to everything underwater. She basically just showed up, ready to take over the whole ocean – it’s up to me and the crew to stop her!
