DWTS’ Elaine Hendrix Shares Update After Hospitalization

Elaine Hendrix is ready to dance again.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I was SO worried! Our girl, the absolute Superstar, hurt her ribs and had to go to the hospital! I was devastated she missed Halloween night on Dancing With the Stars – it just wasn’t the same without her! But she finally gave us an update, and I’m just breathing a sigh of relief that she’s doing better! I’ve been glued to social media waiting for news, and it’s amazing to hear she’s on the mend. Seriously, she’s incredible!

Oh my gosh, you guys, she posted a video! Elaine said she’s doing okay, and she’s up and about! Can you believe it?! She admitted she’s a little tender and sore, which, honestly, after everything, is totally understandable. But the best part? She’s starting pain management today! I’m just so relieved to see her looking…well, like herself. Alan was right there with her, too – they’re just the cutest! I’m sending all the positive vibes her way!

The Parent Trap actress said she won’t be back to dancing for a couple of days, but she’ll be prepared to perform by the next live show.

Alan and Elaine were thankful for the fans who continued to vote for them, even though they’d only seen part of their Argentine tango – performed to George Thorogood & The Destroyers’ “Bad to the Bone” – in rehearsal clips.

Elaine shared a behind-the-scenes look at her *Mad Max: Fury Roadinspired costume, hair, and makeup, and she says the kind comments from viewers have really inspired her.

“I’m seeing all of your messages,” the 54-year-old shared. “I want you to know I’m doing okay and I’m ready to move forward. Thank you so much for all your kindness and support, and thank you to everyone on the Dancing With the Stars team for taking such good care of me.”

She added, “So, we will see you next Tuesday out on the ballroom.”

Just before her performance, Elaine announced she had been hospitalized because of a previous injury that had suddenly worsened.

Elaine explained in an Instagram video that she hurt her ribs while performing ‘Defying Gravity’ and they suddenly locked up today, making it impossible to move. She had to go to the hospital because of the pain.

Elaine explained that the doctor advised a couple of days of rest, after which she should be able to continue, and that’s her plan. “I really want to keep dancing,” she said.

Even though they didn’t perform a dance, Elaine and Alan received a combined score of 32 from judges Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and guest judge Cheryl Burke. Carrie Ann Inaba shared her enthusiasm about seeing the Dynasty actress dance in the future after giving her score.

Carrie Ann expressed her sadness for Alan and Elaine, saying she was truly heartbroken for them. She felt that after their strong performance last week, they were on their way to even greater success. She was particularly impressed with their rehearsal, saying she was amazed by how well they were doing.

Carrie Ann said she thought the performer looked fantastic and their connection was incredibly strong and genuine. She also praised the performer’s strength and resilience.
