Break a leg? Er, something like that.
Just before Halloween week on Dancing with the Stars, Dylan Efron shared that he injured his nose while practicing with his dance partner, Daniella Karagach.
In an Instagram video posted from the hospital on October 25th, he explained that he was hit in the face with an elbow while trying a new dance move. He said it made a loud cracking sound, and while it wasn’t the way he wanted to finish rehearsal, he planned to be back dancing the next day.
After all, he’s not about to tap out when the Mirrorball is in sight.
I really am doing okay, honestly. I just wanted to publicly shout out Daniella’s husband, Pasha Pashkov, and his partner, Danielle Fisher. I’ll never forget how they were all there for me, sticking by my side when things were tough. It truly means the world to have friends like them – it really warms my heart.
In fact, he’s got a whole dance troupe cheering him on.
Alix Earle expressed shock and sympathy with a message of “OMG dylannnnn” and a crying emoji. Val Chmerkovskiy simply wrote, “Oh em gee.” Robert Irwin commented, “What!!!!! Feel better mate.”
Boston Rob Mariano playfully tweeted, “Keep him in line @daniellakaragach,” and Emma Slater wrote, “Hope you’re okay!”
And really, he is. As the reality star replied to Emma, “all good 🙂 already back and practicing.”
And Dylan has the support of his brother, Zac Efron, who’s been watching from the audience. While Zac hasn’t danced on the show yet, Dylan recently shared with Extra that he’s been there for him every step of the way.
The feeling is shared. On the October 14th episode of Dancing with the Stars, Dylan performed a dance to his brother’s song, “Rewrite the Stars” from The Greatest Showman, and dedicated it to his 5-year-old sister, Olivia.
Dylan explained that the gesture was for his brother, Zac. He shared that Zac has always been incredibly supportive and generous, and Dylan hopes to provide the same kind of positive influence for his daughter, Olivia, striving to be the best role model he can be.
