In the soap opera EastEnders, Avani Nandra-Hart, also known as Aaliyah James, was taken aback when her step-grandmother Suki Panesar-Unwin proposed a deal that might transform everything for them.
This week, only Barney Mitchell, Avani’s confidant, was aware that the baby she was expecting was fathered by Joel Marshall.
Suki caught Avani looking at a family planning website, leading Avani to tell her the truth.
But as Avani announced that she was going to have a termination, Suki was horrified.

As a movie lover, I found myself oblivious to Avani’s predicament, but my partner Eve (Heather Peace), with a concerned tone, pushed me to take action and let go of my stubbornness. Meanwhile, Barney suggested that I should take some time to ponder over the situation more thoroughly.
Later on, we observed Suki share her concerns about Avani with the Granthi, revealing her apprehension that a similar fate as Ash’s might occur again after his dismissal many years past.
Granthi advised that Suki ought to stand by Avani without any strings attached. However, Suki found himself deeply contemplating as Jean Slater mentioned that being a mom had significantly transformed her granddaughter Lily.
At home, Suki expressed regret to Eve over her actions, also discussing Vinny’s latest comments concerning her parenting.
Eve assured Suki that she had always tried her best, and once alone, Suki called Avani.
Upon Avani’s arrival, Suki firmly expressed her inability to support her decision, only to announce unexpectedly that she wished to bring up Avani’s child as her own.
