EastEnders airs game-changing Ravi Gulati twist as major secret exposed in early BBC iPlayer release

Things are tough for Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) on EastEnders right now, and his family has just received shocking news.

The character has been struggling with their mental health lately, and things have gotten worse since their son, Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury), was diagnosed with epilepsy – a condition the character feels responsible for.

A teenager was seriously injured in the head after a fight with his father, who had unknowingly been given something to harm him by Nicola Mitchell and Harry Mitchell (played by Laura Doddington and Elijah Holloway).

Everyone panicked when Ravi didn’t come home. He had fallen into a pit at the garage and started experiencing vivid hallucinations of his deceased father, Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).

Lashing out towards the villain, he was unaware that Nugget was actually stood in front of him.

Ravi recently harmed himself and needed emergency hospital treatment. This happened after he woke up feeling confused and immediately reached for his girlfriend, Priya Nandra-Hart (also known as Sophie Khan Levy).

While working on the hospital ward, he and another doctor were shocked to discover their assigned physician was Nina Gupta (Hersha Verity)—his ex-girlfriend and former stepmother. She insisted she had to report the injury to the police, but he carefully explained that he had accidentally caused it himself.

Nina was pleased he was getting good medical care and felt comfortable letting him go as long as he followed up with his therapist. But today, it’s clear he doesn’t plan to keep that appointment.

He’d secured the apartment door with several padlocks and called both Walford High and the car lot, claiming Nugget, his daughter Avani (Aaliyah James), and Priya were sick. He was hoping they’d agree to his suggestion of taking a day off to get things back on track.

Ravi also confiscated their phones, preventing contact with the outside world.

At first, everything was going well, but the children grew restless and wanted to go home. Ravi firmly believed it was his responsibility to keep them safe, so he insisted they remain indoors.

Priya noticed the fear in their expressions, and it grew worse when Suki Panesar-Unwin showed up at their door. Concerned that no one was picking up the phone, and knowing how Ravi had been acting lately, Priya wondered if they were actually safe.

Ravi quickly urged his family to get down and pretend to be sick, while Priya yelled through the door that they all had a stomach bug and didn’t want to risk infecting Suki. Suki looked puzzled by this, but she eventually left.

Priya asked Avani to pick a movie for her and Ravi, as she and Nugget quickly looked everywhere for their keys. While searching the kitchen, Nugget saw bruises on his mother’s arm and decided to talk to Ravi about them.

Completely defeated, he fell to the floor and confessed to many of his past mistakes, admitting he had even attacked Nugget.

What will Nugget do about this situation, and can the family get away before Ravi’s actions get worse?
