EastEnders airs harrowing Harry Mitchell overdose scenes after Teddy’s sentencing in BBC iPlayer release

Harry Mitchell, played by Elijah Holloway, is struggling again after his father, Teddy (played by Roland Manookian), was sentenced in EastEnders.

Last month, Teddy protected his son by taking the blame for a murder, even though he didn’t commit it.

This happened after a big drug-related storyline where Harry and his close friend Kojo were manipulated by Okie into helping him sell drugs throughout London.

Harry was held captive and kept tied to a bed for weeks to prevent him from interfering with something. Fortunately, Kojo managed to free him, but his troubles weren’t over yet.

Okie went back and started threatening Kojo. A fight broke out with Harry, and Okie was accidentally stabbed and killed.

Teddy discovered his son was deeply upset and determined he wouldn’t let him face life in prison. He immediately contacted the authorities and turned himself in.

Today on the show, the Mitchells were getting ready for a court appearance, but their plans were disrupted when Harry suddenly went missing from Albert Square. His mother, Nicola, played by Laura Doddington, unfortunately had to leave without him.

George Knight (Colin Salmon) and his daughter, Gina (Francesca Henry), kept looking for him. They soon found him at the Container Junction, where he had been sleeping in one of the bar areas.

Gina suddenly noticed a strange exchange between her dad and Harry, and Harry was forced to confess he was the one who had killed Okie, not Teddy.

She was gobsmacked, and seemingly lost for words.

Despite Nicola’s warnings, George brought Teddy to court for the sentencing. The judge gave Teddy a life sentence, meaning he wouldn’t be eligible for parole for at least 20 years.

Harry jumped up, ready to take the blame, but Nicola told him to sit back down. Sadly, things weren’t over for him yet.

He went back home briefly, then immediately left again to get drugs. Shortly after, Gina went looking for him and discovered he had overdosed in an area called The Arches.

Will Harry be ok?
