Following the shocking revelation about her late husband, Dennis Rickman, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) has done something unexpected in EastEnders.

When Zoe Slater revealed to Sharon that Dennis was the father of her baby, Sharon angrily reminded Zoe that twenty years earlier, Zoe had told everyone that her previous miscarriage was caused by a pregnancy with Den Watts.

I was so surprised when Zoe explained what she meant! It turned out she wasn’t talking about *that* baby at all. She actually told me Dennis had been to see her before she left Walford, and they’d had a brief relationship. I honestly didn’t see that coming!

Sharon accused Zoe of lying and then hit her, causing Kat Moon to kick her out of The Queen Vic pub.

Vicki Fowler (played by Alice Haig) told Sharon that Dennis would never be unfaithful, but Sharon was starting to believe Zoe’s story might be true.

Kat questioned Zoe about her earlier statements, pressing her on whether she truly didn’t know who fathered her twins.

Kat remembered seeing Dennis go upstairs when he visited Zoe in 2005, and Zoe maintained her account of what happened.

Zoe told Kat that Sharon had funds which could help locate her remaining child, so the two women went to Stacey Slater’s house to talk about it.

Kat was confused by what Zoe said, especially after Stacey mentioned the controversial relationship between Sharon and Dennis – who were stepsiblings, not related by blood.

Wanting to get away from all the family problems, Stacey unexpectedly revealed she was taking the children to Brazil to live with Sean Slater (Robert Kazinsky).

At the café, Sharon opened up to Ian Beale, and he invited her back to his house to talk things over with Kathy Cotton.

According to Sharon’s recollection of events, Kathy suggested that Dennis might have been unfaithful with Zoe.

Sharon fondly remembered Dennis, and Kathy joked that if Angie Watts were still around, Zoe would be in serious trouble – probably with her hair and teeth yanked out!

Ian thought they should dismiss Zoe’s claims, but Kathy and Sharon couldn’t shake their concern for Dennis’s son. Kathy was reminded of her own daughter, Donna, who had passed away, and Sharon understood what it felt like to be abandoned, having been rejected by her own parents.

Kathy worried that Zoe would reach her son before she did and cause problems in his life. Determined to prevent this, Sharon went to see Zoe, asking for information and promising to assist in locating him.

Will the unlikely team of Zoe and Sharon be able to find the long-lost Slater?
