A shocking car accident at the end of today’s EastEnders episode has left seven Walford characters in critical condition.
Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) is struggling with his mental health, and his condition is getting worse. He’s become increasingly fearful for his family’s safety, so he’s keeping them confined to their apartment. He’s locked the doors, taken away their phones, and told their workplaces and school they’re all sick.
As his behavior grew more unpredictable, Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) quietly looked for her keys to leave, and asked their daughter, Avani (Aaliyah James), to keep him occupied.
I was really gripped by this scene – young Davinder, nicknamed ‘Nugget’ (played by Juhaim Rasul Choudhury), found bruises on his mother’s arm while looking around the kitchen. He immediately jumped to the conclusion that Ravi was responsible. Ravi, understandably, tried to explain, but got incredibly upset, breaking down in tears and eventually admitting to something else he’d done wrong. It was a powerful, heartbreaking moment.
He confessed to attacking Nugget earlier this year, resulting in a severe head injury and a later diagnosis of epilepsy.

The latest episode, now available on BBC iPlayer, continued the intense storyline with Nugget confronting his father. He was furious after discovering that details about his attack had been hidden from him for months.
As the argument heated up, Priya saw her chance to leave. Ravi was upset and didn’t notice her heading for the hallway at first. He quickly realized what she was doing and ran to stop her, warning her that it wasn’t safe outside.
When Priya told Ravi she felt safer leaving the apartment, he became upset. She quickly suggested they both escape Walford to find safety.

Ravi said okay, and the family headed to the car lot to get their car. Peter Beale (played by Thomas Law) saw them driving away and called out, but they were already gone.
Priya rushed Ravi to the hospital, driving quickly to get him medical attention. Ravi spotted signs for the emergency room and understood what she was doing, but he tried to convince her to pull over. Just then, their dog, Nugget, started having a seizure, adding to the frantic situation.

She turned to help him, briefly looking away from the road, and accidentally swerved into the path of another car.
Max Branning and Cindy Beale were driving home with their grandson Jimmy after a nursery event when their car crashed into another vehicle. The driver didn’t have time to avoid the collision.
A car overturned and rolled onto the road, and authorities are still trying to determine if anyone was seriously injured.
