I’m so excited to hear Balvinder Sopal will be doing Strictly Come Dancing! I’m also glad she’s still going to be on EastEnders, though it sounds like we won’t be seeing quite as much of her character, Suki, while she’s busy with the competition. I’ll definitely miss her regular appearances, but I’m thrilled she’s juggling both!
Sopal was revealed as a contestant on the popular show back in August. She won’t be the first actor from EastEnders to compete, as stars like Kellie Bright, Emma Barton, and Bobby Brazier have all previously taken part in the series.
Strictly Come Dancing is incredibly challenging, particularly when combined with a demanding job, and Sopal has explained how she plans to balance both commitments.

The EastEnders actress is eager to take on the challenge of Strictly Come Dancing, and she’s confessed to being a bit of a perfectionist.
I’m my own harshest critic,” she said. “I question every little thing, even my own lines – wondering if a different word might be better, and then pushing myself to make it all work.
I need to get used to this new way of communicating, because it feels like learning a completely different language. I can’t worry about what others think of my attempts, or I’ll likely fail.
