A new trailer has given EastEnders viewers a sneak peek at this year’s Christmas episodes, and it looks like there will be plenty of dramatic storylines.
BBC reports that this year’s Christmas episodes of the show will focus on the residents of Walford facing the repercussions of their choices. They’ll be confronted by ghosts from their past, current enemies, and glimpses of what’s to come.
The upcoming trailer reveals Max Branning will be back with the Beales and Brannings for Christmas, marking his return after being off-screen since 2021.
However, viewers of EastEnders know this won’t last, as Max is headed for a dramatic confrontation with Cindy Beale later in 2025.
Cindy and Max have never met, but Cindy blames Max for the death of her son, Steven Beale, which happened while she was hiding under witness protection.

Kat asks everyone to leave the pub, and a quick scene in the trailer reveals Cindy Beale answering the door to someone unexpected.
