EastEnders confirms Ravi Gulati will face a revenge plot – along with a mental health story for Walford villain

EastEnders’ current executive producer, Ben Wadey, has hinted at future storylines for the character Ravi Gulati (played by Aaron Thiara), with developments planned for 2026.

The character has had a whirlwind of a year at the centre of several huge storylines.

Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) became pregnant with the child of her abusive partner, Joel Marshall (Max Murray). This happened before a complicated romantic situation developed involving Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), and while a major drug-related storyline continues to unfold.

Ravi, needing money, got information about a drug dealer from Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) and started selling drugs in Walford.

This had a terrible impact on Nic’s son, Harry (Elijah Holloway). He’d agreed to keep some drugs for Ravi hidden at The Arches, but when his close friend Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) discovered them, Kojo destroyed them by flushing them down the toilet.

After that, the two men had to negotiate through Ravi, but while he was gone, the ruthless Tobias “Okie” Okyere (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) seized control and kept Harry captive. While held hostage, Harry started relying on the drugs Okie gave him.

After the incident, Okie died, and Ravi avoided consequences by becoming a police informant.

Ravi will be dealing with the fallout from his recent mistakes, and we’ll see how those actions affect him personally and his family. It’s a major storyline moving forward, exploring the psychological consequences of his behavior over the last few months.

However, this won’t just mean big scenes for Ravi – but also big material for Harry Mitchell too.

Wadey hinted that a storyline involving Harry Mitchell seeking revenge will begin early next year.

What will Harry do, and will Ravi be OK?
