For viewers of EastEnders, unfortunately it’s happening again: the FIFA World Cup is back, and like before, it’s moving to BBC One, meaning EastEnders will be temporarily taken off the air.
The soap usually airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One, but that isn’t the case this week.
Tonight and tomorrow, the show will air on BBC Two at the usual time instead of its regular channel.
I’m so excited! Instead of that other program, we’re going to get live coverage of the World Cup! First up, it’s Belgium versus Egypt from Seattle, and then France taking on Senegal from New Jersey. Can’t wait to watch!
Both programs begin at 7:30 PM, right after The One Show. Tonight’s episode of The One Show will include an interview with EastEnders actors Emma Barton and Ronni Ancona, who play Honey Mitchell and Bea Pollard.

Good news for fans! The soap is back on BBC One this Wednesday and Thursday at 8:30pm. You can also watch new episodes early on BBC iPlayer starting at 6am.
Tonight on the show, Denise Fox will reveal to her family that she has blood cancer. Later this week, her daughter Libby, who has been away for nine years, will be coming home.
Libby’s return also brings a surprising development for her sister, Chelsea. Chelsea shares that she’s been receiving checks from the grandmother of her abusive and murderous ex-husband, Gray Atkins.
The siblings meet up with Sheila, determined to find out whether she’s still in touch with Gray.
TopMob recently announced that Will Smith will return to filming very soon, with his scenes expected to air in just a few weeks.

As a total soap obsessive, I’ve always kept up with what’s happening on all the big shows, and Michael Adams is the guy to know! He’s the Soaps Editor at TopMob, meaning he’s got the inside scoop on everything from Coronation Street and EastEnders to Emmerdale and Hollyoaks. Before that, he was a Soaps Reporter at Metro for a couple of years, and even worked on set for both Corrie and Emmerdale – talk about being in the thick of it! He really knows his stuff.
