Colin Salmon, who is best known for his role on EastEnders, has enjoyed a diverse acting career, and this week he can be found sharing the silver screen with some big names in Hollywood.
In the continuation of the 2021 action movie starring Bob Odenkirk, titled “Nobody 2,” Salmon once again takes on the role he played in the original, albeit modestly, yet significantly, as The Barber from the first film.
In the opening scenes of the movie, we meet a character who was previously overseeing Hutch Mansell’s assassinations for the government. Despite his past role, he is now assigning Hutch new, violent tasks as he strives to settle debts amassed during the events of the initial film.
In this film, he joins a group of well-known actors who are working alongside Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul star Odenkirk. Among them are Connie Nielsen from Gladiator, Christopher Lloyd known for Back to the Future, RZA, the renowned rapper from Wu-Tang Clan, and others. Notably, they all reprise their roles from the previous movie.
Meanwhile, new additions for the sequel include Sharon Stone, Colin Hanks and John Ortiz.
In the film, Hutch Mansell, a regular suburban father who used to be an accomplished assassin, is thrust back into his dangerous past when he intervenes in a home invasion. This action sparks a series of events that reveal hidden truths about his wife Becca’s history and his own.
In the quaint town of Plummerville, our protagonist unwittingly gets entangled in a web of deceit involving a dishonest theme park manager, a questionable sheriff, and a ruthless underworld figure.
In our three-star critique of the film, we noted that it featured the usual elements of “intense fight scenes, gruesome retribution, witty dry humor, and an action-packed finale that was destructively climactic.” However, we lamented that this time, the characters seemed a bit underdeveloped.
