Max Branning, played by Jake Wood, has returned to EastEnders and is already stirring up drama.
This event happens after Oscar’s (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) hospitalization. He was injured when he courageously ran into a fire at No. 25 to rescue Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan).
Hoping to mend things with his children, he sat with Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) and felt she wasn’t telling him everything. She seemed unusually close to her father-in-law, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), who quickly came to her aid whenever anyone brought up the missing charity money.

Lauren used money intended for a charity helping children with vision loss to pay for experimental treatment for her son Jimmy, who is also blind. Unfortunately, the person she gave the money to was a fraud, and she’s now lost £3,000.
Ian found out what happened and kindly offered to cover the donation for her. However, in Walford, it’s never long before secrets come out!

When Max left the hospital, he unexpectedly ran into Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), and she seemed shaken to see him. They haven’t spoken in five years, and Max doesn’t yet know he’s the father of her daughter, Annie, from before he disappeared.
Even though she knew it was risky, Linda met him for a drink and let him vent his problems. He expressed a desire to stay in Walford and repair his relationships, and Oscar’s recent health scare had been a frightening reminder of what mattered.

He then asked her for a room at Peacock Palace – and she agreed.
I was at The Vic the other night, and Max was really having a go at Ian. He was clearly upset and kept blaming Ian for the stolen charity money. It was awkward, to say the least – everyone was watching as Ian finally had enough and stood up to him. Honestly, it was a tense moment!
A fight nearly broke out when Max grabbed Ian’s collar, but Lauren quickly intervened and stopped it by admitting she was the one who had stolen something.
How will everyone react to the scandal?
