Heads Up: This information reveals significant plot points from the BBC iPlayer episode of EastEnders that aired on Monday, July 14th, 2025. Proceed with caution if you wish to avoid spoilers.
Oscar Branning (played by Pierre Moullier) has made his entrance in dramatic style in EastEnders.
As a movie lover, I found myself reminiscent of the character Lauren Branning (played by Jacqueline Jossa) when she got her life back on track with her fiancé, Peter Beale (Thomas Law). However, an unexpected phone call sent me dashing off, without even a peep to let Peter know my whereabouts.
Lauren showed up at the juvenile detention facility to retrieve her younger brother Oscar. He seemed eager to leave, flashing a mischievous smile, holding a cigarette, and wearing an ankle monitor.
When Lauren discovered that Oscar planned to live with her and that their mother, Tanya (Jo Joyner), had evicted Oscar after his friend attempted to bomb their house with gasoline, Peter was taken aback upon seeing a man arrive to inspect the house for Oscar’s sake.

Peter and his father, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), quickly located Lauren and Oscar, but a predicament arose as Oscar noticed the group in the vicinity and concealed himself to avoid being seen.
In an attempt to distract them, Lauren and I put on rather comical imitations of police officers, hoping it would send them packing. But then, Oscar seized control of a van and steered us all safely back to Albert Square.
In no time, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), having just returned from nursing his injured sister Suzy (Julie Christian-Young, Maggie O’Neill), encountered his nephew.
As Oscar flirtatiously teased Peter and jokingly promised to resist charming him, it was hard for everyone to follow along with his mischievous behavior while the family debated where Oscar would be lodging.
Upon understanding, Oscar stepped outdoors, and Lauren trailed behind. There, they both recalled their late sister Abigail (Lorna Fitzgerald), who sadly passed away following a fall from the rooftop of The Queen Vic.
Oscar managed to persuade Lauren to allow him to reside with her under the condition that he would conduct himself appropriately. However, trouble brewed when Oscar received a threatening message from someone called ‘Fat Mike’. In response, he picked up a kitchen knife as a means of defense.
Will Lauren find out what Oscar has brought to her door?
In an exciting turn of events, actor Moullier made a powerful first appearance, and since character Max (played by Jake Wood, who is also father to both Oscar and Lauren), is set to reappear, we’re eager to find out how the Branning family navigates through this fresh chapter in their lives.
