On the evening of June 30, 2025, during its double-episode broadcast, EastEnders unveiled an unexpected development regarding a well-known past character.
During that time, Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe) experienced a heart attack, Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) disclosed her plot of vengeance against Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal), and the events within The Six. Yet another surprising revelation came to light for Suki.
At the Minute Mart, Suki’s spouse, Eve (Heather Peace), glanced at her phone and found a social media update. She then shared this discovery with Suki.
The display depicted a hand adorned with an engagement ring, which was that of Ash (portrayed by Gurlaine Kaur Garcha), Suki’s distant child.
Eve explained that she’d been looking online, and Ash was set to marry a woman in her fifties!
Suki said she was happy for Ash, but Eve urged her to be open about how she was feeling.
However, Ash was unequivocally communicated by Suki that she didn’t want a romantic involvement with her mom, preferring instead to keep things as they were.

Soon, Suki found herself preoccupied as Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) revealed Bernie’s suspected embezzlement from the Panesar enterprises.
Instead of Suki eagerly stepping up to handle the matter concerning Keanu’s (Danny Walters) murder, it was Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) and Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) who decided to confront Bernie on their own.
