Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) is struggling in EastEnders ever since she found out her stepson, Joel Marshall (Max Murray), intends to deny wrongdoing after assaulting her.
The experience deeply upset her and made her wary of men. After a heated argument with a man at Harry’s Barn last week, she’s now come to the aid of Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).
Today on the show, Vicki and Zack Hudson (played by James Farrar) met with a representative to learn what Joel plans to tell the court. He still believes he did nothing wrong and is claiming he acted in self-defense during the assault.

Okay, so initially, our protagonist was determined to stay in, but she was convinced to head down to The Vic for quiz night. And honestly, it seemed like a good move – she started to really connect with Joel’s dad, Ross. They shared a drink, and there was definitely a spark! But just when things were looking up, I started noticing something…off…about Chelsea’s date, Damon. His behavior was just a little strange, and it definitely caught my attention.
He was buying her increasingly strong drinks, with the obvious intention of getting her intoxicated and then exploiting her. Vicki confronted him, and was shocked to overhear his phone conversation with his wife shortly after.
Chelsea told the man to leave her alone, reminding him he was married. But she emphasized that didn’t justify his behavior, as he was simply taking advantage of her like so many men do.
Damon later found Vicki and Nicola Mitchell (played by Laura Doddington) at McKlunkys and began expressing offensive views about women. Vicki was disgusted and the disagreement continued when they unexpectedly met again at the laundromat.

He wasn’t backing down on his words and as things began to get heated, walked towards her.
She’d experienced this before with Joel, so she challenged him to stand up for himself. Unfortunately, he stumbled and hit his head when he fell.
Has Vicki landed herself in hot water?
