Emmanuel Haro Case: Police Arrest Parents on Murder Charge

Authorities are sharing an update on the Emmanuel Haro case.

On August 22, Rebecca Haro and Jake Haro, the parents of the missing 7-year-old girl, were taken into custody for alleged murder. The San Bernardino Sheriff Department has verified this information.

This morning, detectives from both the Homicide Unit and Special Operations Team apprehended Jake and Rebecca Haro at their home in Cabazon on charges of murder (PC 187). The department’s press office informed TopMob News that the investigators are still searching for seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro.

The statement added, “Please follow our social media pages for updates.”

Approximately a week ago, Rebecca initially reported Emmanuel’s alleged abduction from a parking lot of a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Yucaipa, which is roughly 70 miles east of Los Angeles, on August 14. On August 16, authorities expressed that they were not dismissing the possibility of suspicious activity because of discrepancies detected in Rebecca’s statement.

On August 16th, the authorities were called to a shop in Yucaipa following a report by Rebecca Haro. She stated that while she was outside her car, changing her baby’s diaper, an unidentified man approached and physically attacked her, causing her to lose consciousness. Upon regaining consciousness, Haro found that her 7-month-old son, Emmanuel Haro, was missing.

The investigation involved speaking with various people, among them being Emmanuel’s parents, Jake and Rebecca Haro. During these conversations, Rebecca encountered discrepancies in her initial account and chose not to proceed with further questioning.

Additionally, it was verified on August 20th that the authorities had taken Jake’s vehicle as a continuation of their investigation into Emmanuel’s disappearance.

As an over-the-top enthusiastic fan, I couldn’t help but share that fateful day, the day I found myself juggling my roles as a mom, wife, and football supporter all at once. That’s right, I was at the park with my husband, cheering on our son during his practice when the need for a mouthguard arose. In true dedication to my little athlete, I hopped in the car and made a beeline for Big 5 Sporting Goods to grab that essential piece of equipment – right then and there!

She explained about Emmanuel on August 15, saying she removed him from the car seat and put him down so she could prepare his diapers. After someone said “Hola”, everything went blurry for her; all she recalls is seeing white before she fell to the floor. Upon standing up, she mentioned that she couldn’t locate her son.

During the interview, Rebecca, sporting a black eye, explained, “I inspected thoroughly around my vehicle and encountered someone from Big 5. I inquired of the woman if she noticed a child. She denied seeing one.

Meanwhile, Jake pleaded for Emmanuel’s safe return.

The baby was full of joy, as he scooted around, kicked, and even played with his toys. To whoever might have taken our child, we kindly ask for his safe return.

In my unwavering dedication as a fanatic follower, I found myself delving into the past of Jake, a man whose life had recently taken an unexpected turn. As the authorities were tirelessly working on solving his son’s disappearance, it was during this investigation that I stumbled upon a shocking revelation from June 2023. Riverside County Superior Court records, obtained by The Orange County Register, unveiled a felony conviction for child cruelty, dating back to an arrest in 2018. This chilling discovery left me stunned as it was revealed that he had been sentenced to serve 180 days in jail and be on probation for an extended period of 48 months. The gravity of this information leaves me with a heavy heart, and I can’t help but question the future of such a man.
